Fuels and LPG

Responsive. Reliable. Simple. BNSF provides consumers with the confidence of long-standing company success married with the flexibility of rail service. Our customers ship with us again and again because of our consistent results and ease of use.

Part of our flexibility includes excellent geographic coverage:

  • Access to most major West Coast refineries and primary storage locations in Texas, Arizona and Kansas
  • Excellent connections with Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, CSX and Norfolk Southern

Our fuels and LPG service includes diesel, crude, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) — primarily propane, butane, and isobutene — as well as other light hydrocarbons such as natural gasoline, propylene, butylene, butene, pentane and isopentane.

Browse the tabs below for more details on shipping fuels and LPG with BNSF.

Because of our public pricing our business provides a level of transparency not available with other modes of transportation. By creating a level playing field in the marketplace, we offer a price that is commensurate with the value we provide and is often a better value proposition than alternative modes and providers of transportation.
